The new Rocket 3 Storm models boast the world’s largest production motorcycle engine, which now produces 15 hp more and reaches an impressive 182 hp at 7,000 rpm. Torque has also been increased by 4 Nm to 225 Nm at just 4,000 rpm, ensuring explosive acceleration and effortless response in every gear.

Improved handling for a more agile driving experience
With newly designed, lighter ten-spoke cast aluminum wheels, the Rocket 3 Storm’s handling is significantly improved. The reduced unsprung mass benefits steering response and increases the Rocket’s already impressive maneuverability. The robust and lightweight aluminum frame, first introduced in 2019, uses cast and forged elements to achieve an exceptional torque-to-weight ratio.
Dark elegance in every detail
The Rocket 3 Storm features a dark, moody color scheme with black details and anodized surfaces. Each model offers three distinctive two-tone options, ensuring a striking and consistent color choice across both models.
Ergonomics and style
Each Rocket model has its own seat configuration that provides ultimate comfort and control, while different footrest positions allow for either a sporty, dynamic or more relaxed stance. The sophisticated design also includes unique black anodized finishes and fully LED-based lighting that underlines the bikes’ aggressive stance.
Driver-focused technology
The Rocket 3 Storm models feature a range of technological innovations specifically designed to improve the driving experience and maximize safety. At the heart of this is lean angle-dependent ABS and traction control, supported by an IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit), which ensures precise performance on both straights and corners. The traction control and ABS adapt dynamically to driving situations to provide optimal stability and control.
Other features include selectable throttle response modes that allow the rider to adjust the motorcycle to different riding conditions and personal preferences. Four riding modes — Road, Rain, Sport and a rider-configurable mode — allow the throttle response and traction control settings to be individually adjusted.
An intuitive cruise control function, which can be easily activated at the touch of a button, contributes to relaxed driving on longer journeys. The speed can be increased or decreased in small increments and a resume function makes operation even more convenient.
At the heart of the rider-focused technology is the Ride-by-Wire system, which guarantees sensitive control, safety and riding comfort. Added to this is a high-performance gearbox, equipped with helical cutting teeth to smoothly transfer the immense torque to the rear wheel. The torque assist clutch ensures easy shifting through the six-speed gearbox, with a quickshifter available as an accessory for both models to make upshifting and downshifting even easier.
The Hill Hold Control prevents rolling back on a slope and thus makes starting on a hill easier.
All of these technologies are designed to give the rider maximum control and confidence in the motorcycle in order to fully and safely exploit the impressive performance potential of the Rocket 3 Storm.
Chassis, brakes and wheels
The chassis of the Rocket 3 Storm models has been carefully developed to ensure excellent driving dynamics. With a fully adjustable Showa rear suspension, including a piggyback reservoir, and large 47mm Showa front forks that are adjustable for compression and rebound, the motorcycle can be perfectly tuned to individual riding needs. The result is a controlled and comfortable riding experience that tames the impressive performance of the Rocket 3 Storm.
The braking system uses high-quality, radially mounted Brembo Stylema brake calipers at the front with two 320mm discs, which provide exceptional stopping power and precision. At the rear, a Brembo M4.32 4-piston monoblock with a 300mm disc supports the braking, offering even superior braking performance compared to the front brakes of many other motorcycles. Thanks to the optimized cornering ABS, riders enjoy full control and safety at all times.
The update to sportier, ten-spoke cast aluminum wheels not only contributes to the aesthetic appearance, but also improves agility and steering response by reducing unsprung mass. The new wheel sizes — 17 inches at the front and 16 inches at the rear — are optimally tailored to the dynamics of the Rocket 3 Storm, which together with the sophisticated chassis creates an incomparably precise and responsive driving experience.
Rocket 3 Storm R and GT: Differences and color variety
While the Rocket 3 Storm R and GT share many features, they differ significantly in ergonomics and design to suit different riding styles and preferences. The Rocket 3 Storm R presents itself as a muscle roadster option with a rider-focused seating position and handlebar placement that offers a blend of power and control. Its sporty design is aimed at riders looking for a dynamic and engaging riding experience.
In contrast, the GT version offers slightly reclined ergonomics with a handle position that is 125mm different from the R, allowing a more upright and relaxed riding position. This configuration aims to provide maximum comfort and suitability for longer rides.
In terms of color, both models have uniform but distinctive options. The Rocket 3 Storm R is available in the color combinations Carnival Red with Sapphire Black, Satin Pacific Blue with Matt Sapphire Black and Sapphire Black with Granite.
The GT variant shares these color options, but with a reversed color split on the tank.
